The Filmgear MaxiBrute 12-Bank (12,000W) is a heavy-duty, high-intensity tungsten floodlight package traditionally used to illuminate massive physical areas on large-scale film sets, sound stages, and concert venues. Known in the industry as a “Jumbo” or “Dino” light variant, it holds twelve individual 1000W PAR64 globes inside a rugged, modular steel frame to project an incredibly punchy wall of warm light over massive distances.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS:
- Colossal Output Potential: Houses 12 separate 1000W PAR64 lamps (Mogul end-prong GX16d bases) for a maximum continuous draw of 12,000 Watts.
- Optical Customization: Because it is an open-frame bank, the beam angle is dictated entirely by the type of PAR64 globes you swap in—ranging from VNSP (Very Narrow Spot) for punchy long-distance throws to WFL (Wide Flood) for expansive, organic set washes.
- Native Color Temperature: Runs at 3200K (Tungsten) out of the box, but can accept specialized daylight-corrected lamps (approx. 5000K) depending on production requirements.
- Multi-Switch Zoning Control: Features physical independent toggle switches on the rear of the housing. This allows electricians and gaffers to dim the system down or save power by manually turning off specific banks, sections, or rows of lamps rather than relying on massive external dimmer racks.
